A new building is going to be constructed in front of our building, the big noise from the machines almost drives people mad. Once I saw a big flag Please be quiet! with thousands of exclamatory marks flying in the air.
One afternoon I walked around the building site, nothing had existed in my mind, but soon protested inwardly by the appearance of: three flies dancing above an overflowing ashtray on the chair of the truck, a stray cat beyond the rooter, a temporary house with red and white walls, bright color letters printed on the door that I couldn’t read… One worker had brown hair, unfeeling eyes and the sharp, expressionless features looked like a director of the team, his big voice seemed like the loud speaker that often hung on the telegraph pole in my high school for publishing news. And the music from the radio player like a clarion in an old war film, then soon disappearing in the loud machine’s noise.
At the same time, several flower smells carried me back to other times I experienced them. I still remembered the two children often running with a beautiful kite in the middle of this place, but their kite never flew in the sky; the loving family lying on the land and waiting for their barbecue; the volleyball team appearing every weekend and a big snowman in front of that small tree…

I started noticing the shopping carts often carrying different stories and appearing in our building these days, they seemed a symbol of movement. People use them to move their heavy stuff through the long corridor to the outside. Because of this big noise and the information of removing buildings after the new building is set up, people intend to leave.
Sitting in front of my desk, the birds still could be heard against the incessant noise of the machines, and they seemed still active and curious.
