Did she forget to take the plastic bag away from her bicycle saddle at that morning?
Where does the apple come from?
Some questions were forming in my head when I saw this photo again.

Actually I often see her while I pass this street every morning. She always wears the sport suit and a big bag. A plastic bag often inserted under her bicycle saddle. I notice this because I don’t see so many people put things under their bicycle saddles in here.

But I used to put a piece of cloth under my bicycle saddle like all people do in my homeland, people often use it to keep their bicycle clean. One of my aunts cleans her bicycle every weekend. Sometimes she shouted at me: ‘Don’t be lazy, it’s time to clean your bicycle!’

I don’t know why I felt this small detail shows me a totally different national character - a different modernity and aesthetic of urban life in a different area.
But she seems a little bit different. A golden clip is always inserted on her neat hair, it seems like her white gloves never can get dirty. A MP3 player is hung around her neck and her body always rhythmically moves when she rides her bicycle, alays with the same speed. She must be a careful person.

Like one of my friends who can take care of everything very well. She goes to supermarket everyday and always buys things when she recognizes they are for a good price at that moment. She never forgets to put a plastic bag on her bicycle when she locks it. She keeps everything in a fixed place in her home, so she can never lose things. But I can easily recognize her different behaviour if something doesn’t go right for her. It is impossible to get everything under control.

Coming back to this photo, I still have a vivid memory of that morning. Everything was drying over the bright morning sunshine when I went out. Again I felt quite a pity that I forgot to put a plastic bag on my bicycle saddle like other people did when I saw my wet bicycle was standing in front of me. Quickly riding it to the main road, I saw her riding in front of me. She seemed in quite hurry at that moment. Nothing was in order as usual. Her hair was not that neat, one hand wore her lovely glove and a red apple was in her other hand. The plastic bag still sticked on the bicycle saddle…

All of this made me want to know what might have happened to her? After the last crossroad, we stopped by the red light, she started eating that apple and soon threw it away while the light just turned into green. So there was the apple in the picture. Then she rapidly disappeared while I just realized the light already turned red again.

It is hard to say why she was in a hurry? But following her habits. In her consciousness she must have known the plastic bag was still stickig on her bicycle saddle and she didn’t want to throw the apple on the road. But who cares when something is much more important than this.
